Sub Team Members
The Chassis Sub-Team designs and builds the race car’s frame, focusing on strength and lightness. They also develop and fine-tune the suspension, steering, and braking systems for optimal performance. Collaboration is key, as team members combine their skills to create a high-performance vehicle, fostering both technical excellence and strong teamwork.
Frame
Michigan Tech Racing constructs an open-space chromoly tube frame. Design and weld by our team members every year we build the car from ground up starting with our frame.
Suspension
Our custom suspension system features push and pull rods, anti-roll bars, and carefully tuned ride frequency. The team meticulously selects shock absorbers and spring rates to ensure optimal handling and responsiveness on the track.
Steering
Our steering system is precisely engineered for maximum control and responsiveness. Designed with a focus on accuracy, it features custom components and adjustments that allow for precise handling and confident manoeuvrability in every race
Brakes
Our braking system is designed for peak performance, featuring custom-calibrated components for maximum stopping power and reliability. Precision-engineered to deliver consistent, responsive braking under the most demanding conditions, it ensures our car remains in control at every corner.
