The Business sub-team encapsulates all non-engineering aspects of the project including everything from budgeting to designing the car livery. By working closely with other sub-teams, they ensure that all project goals are met efficiently and effectively.

The Business sub-team carries a wide range of responsibilities that keep the team funded, organized, and visible. Securing and maintaining sponsorships is a core priority, which means identifying what each sub-team needs, researching companies whose values align with the project, and crafting compelling outreach materials that communicate the mutual benefits of partnership. Alongside this, the sub-team manages all financial operations, including purchase order submissions and weekly budgeting reports, to ensure every sub-team stays within its means. The team also continuously researches cost-effective alternatives for materials and services, optimizing spending without sacrificing quality or performance.

Beyond finances, the Business sub-team drives the team's public presence and competitive representation. It manages all social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, as well as the team website, using consistent and engaging content to showcase progress, attract sponsors, support recruitment, and connect with the broader FSAE community. At competition, the sub-team competes directly against other teams in the Business Presentation and Cost Scenario events. The Business Presentation spans three rounds, including a team request for proposal, a virtual presentation, and an in-person Finalist presentation, putting the team's strategic thinking and professional communication on full display.
